Primarily working in oils and acrylic paint as a base, Pennsylvania-based artist Stephon Dalencourt has made art professionally for over four years. He creates impactful and dramatic works that span the genres of abstract collage to figurative mixed-media while capturing the nuances of human vices and sociopolitical issues. Born in 2004, he is on track to receive his BFA from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and has shown his work at a growing list of college galleries. Multiple sources influence his work, but it mainly explores the classical nature of Renaissance painting juxtaposed against the brash variety of post-modernism. His first mature work “Americanasaurus” is a testament to such modernism, featuring bold line work and experimental form.
